S: So why don’t you tell us a little bit about Virtual CFO and what you do?
A: Yeah, for sure, so a little bit about myself, I started my career path in the traditional accounting route but I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do.
I just knew I was in accounting and I was getting my CPA and all of that, but eventually, I stumbled across a virtual accounting firm and worked with them for a few years and found my passion in working with startups and tech companies, and really being involved in not just the year-end part of accounting but really, the day-to-day operations reporting. So, that then led me to working kind of part-time with a few local tech companies and eventually turning that into Virtual CFO Solutions.
We’ve been around for just over a year and a half, so we’re still kind of a startup ourselves. But at the end of the day we’re there to help as a fractional finance team for startups and small businesses.
So, whether you’re making no money or whether you’re making 10 million in annual revenues, we can come in as a team to support you on the day-to-day bookkeeping but also provide the CFO insight that they need for forecasting.
S: So, can you tell me a little bit about why I should hire a virtual CFO instead of hiring a bookkeeper and what are the benefits of going with you versus hiring all of these people?
A: So, I think one of the benefits there would be that you’re getting a piece of everything. If you hire us, you’re not just hiring an internal bookkeeper, an internal controller, or internal CFO, you can kind of get a slice of everything just by having our team. It just gives you that expert knowledge that you need in each area without having to pay someone full-time for it.
We like to grow with our clients and once they get to a point where they’re massive and scaling and they need a full-time team, this is when we then help with transitioning.
